I live in a jewel of a town in Alaska and right now we are experiencing a severe storm. As I watch the trees swaying
violently in the wind, the snow and rain as it lightly drums against my windows, and the thick layer of snow that blankets our city, call me crazy but I can’t help but to be in awe of God.  My heart praises Him because I am witnessing His power and His greatness on display right before my very eyes. My faith reminds me that the Earth is the LORD’s and everything in it… God is in control. Funny thing is despite the storm that seems to be raging on around me I feel this overwhelming peace in my heart and in my household. I know that my family is under the watchful eye of the Most High.
I just wanted to pray for those who are in the midst of a storm. Your storm may not be weather-related like mine is, it may be emotional, physical, mental or spiritual. Whatever the storm is that is raging in your life, this prayer is for you.
Father God in Heaven I pray that Your peace, not the peace of this world but Your peace Lord that surpasses all understanding may it fill the hearts of your people.Overwhelm them with your peace right now in the name of Jesus.
Father fill their hearts with Your love, that unchanging, unconditional, unearned and undeserved love of God. For God you loved us so much that you gave us your perfect, sinless, beloved Son Jesus to die so that we may be free . Jesus Christ who shed His blood so that we can have life and have it more abundantly.
Father God fill our minds with thoughts of your Son Jesus.  Fill our minds with thoughts like, As Christ is so am I on this earth and that no weapon formed against me will prosper because Christ is my righteousness and He fights for me. Remind your people, that the Lord is their Shepherd and they will not lack. God is the  supplier of all of our needs and He is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above what we ask and think.
Father God give your people a boldness in speech that says, I can do all things through Christ that gives me strength. A speech that says, Abba…My Father. Give them a pattern of speech that declares to the four corners of the universe that I am a child of God, I am saved, I am forgiven. In the day of judgment I can have boldness because I've been redeemed!
Brothers and sisters there may be storms in your life.  You may have sickness in your body, you may have problems in your marriage, or with your family.  You may have lost your job, your finances may not look good right now. You may feel, lonely, broken, discouraged, your life may not look all that great through these human eyes but know that you are  the righteousness of God in Christ and He has a plan for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. You can shout Hallelujah in the midst of a storm! You don’t have to be afraid for God Is With You and He is in Control.
In Jesus name I submit this prayer. Amen to the Glory of God. Amen. -Just Believe
