Got Anxiety?
I think at some point in our lives we've all faced anxiety. Whether you’re a parent, a business exec, pastor, politician or student you’re bound to get to a point where life and its tasks become increasingly overwhelming and when it hits you it’s like a vicious wave slamming into you from every side. So today when I felt the waves of anxiety crashing up against me I found myself saying, “Father help me, surely you have an answer… a prescription for this. Then I saw the words “Be anxious for nothing.” It just flashed into my mind so I picked up my bible and read God’s prescription for Anxiety.
Problem: Anxiety
Symptoms: (according to Web-Md) : Feeling overwhelmed/feelings of fear, palpitations, shortness of breath, chest pain, dizziness, nausea, a feeling of being detached from the world, feeling unable to control the simple things.
Do not be anxious about anything.

Before He was arrested, Jesus prayed for this cup to pass from Him but not His will but God’s will be done and in the midst of Christ’s struggle, scripture says,
“Luke 22:44 New Living Translation (NLT) He prayed more fervently, and He was in such agony of spirit that His sweat fell to the ground like great drops of blood.”
God sent an angel of the Lord to strengthen Jesus in His time of need. Now if God can send help to His Beloved Son whom He willingly gave up for the sole purpose of reconciling us back to Him, to make us His Sons and Daughters then surely God can strengthen us and help us in our time of need.
When you study the roles of a good father and a good king you find something unique that they have in common, their top priority is your welfare and whole-being. God gave up His Son, not so you can remain broken from anxiety, loss and fear, Jesus laid down His life for you so that you could be made whole, in every area of your life. You can enjoy the benefits, the gifts of having Heaven’s best, because that’s what you got when He gave you Christ, you can have it with a simple thing called prayer.
Now prayer is not a formal thing, it’s not a loud and lofty act, its intimate. It’s you and God having a heart to heart conversation, not telling Him what you think He wants to hear but what is truly on your heart, the good… the bad… and the ugly. The word says we have not because we ask not. Got issues, then ask the Great I Am, Your Father to move mighty in that area of your life. If nothing on Heaven or Earth can separate you from His Love then there’s no situation in Heaven or Earth that you can’t bring to God. Your loss, your heartbreak even in this He can give you comfort and understanding. Your worries, your struggles, your dreams, He can see you through it, He can show you the way.
Christ came so you can have an abundant life not a defeated one and prayer is you grabbing a hold of it. Question… have you taken your prescription today?
