Peter’s Miraculous Escape From Prison

12 It was about this time that King Herod arrested some who belonged to the church, intending to persecute them. 2 He had James, the brother of John, put to death with the sword. 3 When he saw that this met with approval among the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. This happened during the Festival of Unleavened Bread. 4 After arresting him, he put him in prison, handing him over to be guarded by four squads of four soldiers each. Herod intended to bring him out for public trial after the Passover

The power of a praying church cannot be matched by anything the enemy has planned.Today’s message reminds us of the importance of praying our way through difficulties and trials. As stated in today’s message the shortest distance between your problems and a solutions is the distance between your knees and the floor.

Pastor Hornbuckle continues with part 3 of his message entitled mission impossible,coming from the book of Nehemiah.Nehemiah was distressed with news that the city walls of Jerusalem lay unfinished for over half a century. In spite of great opposition from bandits,and local officials trying to prevent the walls from being rebuilt.Nehemiah in turn lead his people to pray,trust God and arm themselves for battle.

Nehemiah 2:12¹² And I arose in the night, I and some few men with me; neither told I any man what my God put into my heart to do for Jerusalem; neither was there any beast with me, save the beast that I rode upon 

Nehemiah 2:17¹⁷ Then said I unto them, Ye see the evil case that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach.

Pastor Hornbuckle continues today with part 2 of his message entitled "Mission Impossible" which focused on Nehemiah who was position as the kings cup bearer. The king noticed that Nehemiah was troubled and wanted to know why.Nehemiah expressed great concern for his people who lay defenseless due to the lack of a proper city wall.

Nehemiah 2:4-5

⁴ Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven.

⁵ And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favor in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that I may build it.
