Let go and let God. I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase. For years I lived with the pain and old ghost of my past and then one day someone close to me told me to let go and let God. I thought to myself okay, sounds simple enough. I then went from one struggle to the next as I battled with letting go. One day I cried out to the Lord in prayer and asked Him, “Lord how do I let go?” He said, “You have to Let God.”
God revealed to me through His word that, “the battle is not yours, but God’s.” (2 Ch 20:15) and if you let Him, He will heal your broken heart (Psalm 147:3). He’ll give you, “the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.”(Isaiah 61:3)
If you let God He will help you let go. God will take you to a place above and beyond your past, your pain, your addictions and struggles and He will bring you to a place of happiness, love, peace and His abundance.
I then asked God, “Why, why would you do all of this for me?” He said, “Because of love.” “For God so loved the world (meaning You) that He (willingly) gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes (hopes and trust) in Him shall not perish (remain broken and hurting) but have eternal life (the very heart and best of God). –John 3:16
So just let God today and everyday. Be blessed God’s beloved.
