I was pulling into my driveway the other day when my son ran toward me and said, “Mom, Nana is in the emergency room they think she had a heart attack!” Immediately I backed up and hurried to the hospital. If you've read some of my earlier post you'd know that I have seen my mom through breast cancer, chemo and radiation and it was prayer that got us through. On my way to the hospital I found that I could not pray. I didn't know what to say or how to express what was on my heart… I was in shock. So I began to speak in tongues and I repeated the words that came out of my mouth over and over again until I pulled into the hospital parking lot. I have to admit I don't speak in tongues often and I do not have the gift of interpreting tongues so I have no idea what I said but afterwards what I felt was like a heavy rainfall of peace that covered me from head to toe. I walked into the emergency room feeling confident that everything will be alright, and it was. Thank God my mom didn't have a heart attack it was an anxiety attack. She’s doing much better now and is recovering at home, glory to God!
This morning I was watching one of my favorite TV ministers and he was teaching out of Romans 8:26-27 which reads, “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.” Hearing this word just reminded me that our God is a loving provider , He is so awesome and so faithful. God knows what we need even before we have a need. When we’re feeling weak and lost we can depend on His strength and guidance. God loves us with an everlasting love and He will faithfully provide you with all that you need and more including the “right” words when you don’t know what to pray.
