Mark 10:17-27 describes the rich young ruler’s encounter with Jesus.The rich young ruler mentioned to Jesus that he has been faithful to the 10 commandments and wanted to know more he could do. Jesus replied sell all your possessions and follow me. The young ruler walked away troubled by this response. In spite of all that the young ruler had done, he was willing to gamble eternal life in exchange for his worldly possessions.
